The Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) and Ibn Haldun University of Türkiye co-organized an event titled “Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.”.
Addressing the event, AIR Center Chairman Farid Shafiyev pointed out the importance of cooperation between academic circles. According to him, the cooperation between the AIR Center and Ibn Haldun University must gain a consistent nature.
Highlighting Azerbaijani-Turkish cooperation as a pattern for other countries F. Shafiyev drew attention to Türkiye’s comprehensive support to our country.
“Certain elements are involved here. One of them is education. Thus, Azerbaijani officers have received education in the military academies of Türkiye and applied the obtained knowledge.”
The AIR Center Chairman also underlined the progress achieved in terms of institutionalization within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
Rector of the Ibn Haldun University, Atilla Arkan, stressed the interest in intensifying cooperation with academic circles representing Turkic states.
The rector specifically highlighted the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Research Center. He said that Ibn Haldun University has inked over 30 agreements with universities from the Turkic states so far, and joint events are being organized on a regular basis.
Later, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was signed between the AIR Center and Ibn Haldun University. The memorandum was signed by Farid Shafiyev, the Chairman of the Board of the Center of Analysis of International Relations, and Atilla Arkan, the Rector of Ibn Haldun University. The document includes academic exchange between the parties, the preparation of joint analyses and reports, as well as the implementation of joint projects.
The event continued with panel discussions on the “Impact of Azerbaijan- Türkiye military-security relations on the Organization of Turkic States” and “Impact of Azerbaijan- Türkiye commercial-economic relations on the Organization of Turkic States.”
