"Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinsyan recently spoke about the Armenian criminals on trial in Azerbaijan. He said that "both the country's Foreign Ministry and I have made relevant statements that give a clear assessment of what is happening in Baku. Active diplomatic work is being carried out in this direction." He said that he had abstained from any public statement on the matter before so as not to jeopardize the situation. But now, according to him, because of torture and pressure, he is speaking up. The reason for such a change is related to the fact that several Armenians on trial gave evidence that the decision to attack civilians, such as bombing the city of Ganja during the Second Karabakh War, was made in Yerevan, not by local Armenians in Karabakh, though some of them bragged about it. It is clear from multiple evidences, such as many graveyards of soldiers in Yerevan, that the army of the Republic of Armenia was fighting on the Azerbaijani internationally recognized territory. As such, all military orders were taken in Yerevan. Pashinyan, as chief commander, had approved many important decisions. Thus, it brings the issue of the STATE RESPONSIBILITY for war crimes and other illegal actions, including by individuals in charge of the Armenian army. This is the main reason why the Armenian government decided to intervene and exert pressure on Azerbaijan through Western politicians and the media."
