On December 6, 2024, the 3rd European Conference on Azerbaijani Studies, co-organized by the Ministry of Affairs and AIR Center, was held in Valetta, Malta.

The importance of multilateralism, the climate-peace nexus, energy, and connectivity issues were high on the agenda.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, delivered a speech covering issues of the COP29 Presidency, its outcomes, Azerbaijan’s initiatives in energy security, transport, and communications, as well as the post-conflict efforts and regional security situation.

In his speech at the 3rd European Conference on Azerbaijani Studies, AIR Center’s Chairman of the Board, Farid Shafiyev, highlighted the practical importance of joint academic initiatives, noting Azerbaijan’s interest in enhancing cooperation with both European and Asian institutions.

Multiple questions were addressed as part of deliberations with think tanks and academicians.
