On June 5, 2025, an event titled “Stones Speak in Silence: Safeguarding Azerbaijan's Heritage” was organized by the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center).

The event brought together representatives of government institutions, embassies, historians, think tanks, and the media. Within the framework of the event, the presentation of the book "Time to Gather Stones" took place. The book is based on a scholarly and factual foundation, supported by visual materials, and highlights the historical presence of Azerbaijanis as indigenous inhabitants in what is now the territory of modern-day Armenia. It focuses on the historical tangible cultural heritage located in those regions.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Board of the AIR Center, Ambassador Farid Shafiyev emphasized that the tangible cultural heritage belonging to the Azerbaijani people in the territory of the present-day Republic of Armenia has been deliberately destroyed or misrepresented as belonging to other nations. He stated that documenting the tangible cultural heritage that once existed in the territory of modern Armenia - or that has been subjected to falsification-  is of critical importance from the perspective of Azerbaijan’s national interests.

Musa Marjanli, the editor-in-chief and project lead of the publication "Time to Gather Stones," provided a detailed overview of the book’s preparation process, research methodology, the archival sources consulted, and the exclusive photographs used. He noted that the publication offers an in-depth analysis of Azerbaijani settlements, cemeteries, mosques, and other cultural-historical monuments located within the territory of modern-day Armenia, supported by visual evidence.

In his remarks, the book’s academic advisor and historian Rizvan Huseynov stated that the primary objective of the research and documentation efforts is to present evidence-based findings to the international community - particularly to Azerbaijan’s partners abroad - demonstrating that Azerbaijanis were the indigenous population of the territory that constitutes modern-day Armenia, and that their rich cultural and spiritual heritage has been systematically destroyed or falsified.

In conclusion, the participants of the event emphasized the necessity of continuing similar efforts aimed at raising public awareness.
