A panel discussion on Azerbaijan’s multi-vector foreign policy was organized at Hungary’s Ludovika University of Public Service.

The event opened with remarks by Liliana Śmiech, the university’s Director General for International Affairs.

At the discussion titled “The South Caucasus Beyond Blocs: Azerbaijan’s Multi-Vector Foreign Policy,” Vasif Huseynov, Head of Department at the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), highlighted the benefits of Azerbaijan’s multi-vector foreign policy and its stable international position.

He stressed that despite its complex geopolitical environment, Azerbaijan maintains a balanced and pragmatic approach toward different global power centers, strengthening its sovereignty, economic development, and geopolitical importance.

Vasif Huseynov also provided insights into developments in the South Caucasus peace process and the current status and prospects of talks on the normalization of Azerbaijan–Armenia relations, emphasizing efforts to turn the region from a conflict zone into one of peace, stability, and cooperation.

The event also addressed priority areas set during Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), along with the organization’s expanding institutional capacity and increasing international role.

Furthermore, at a separate seminar organized for Polish students, Vasif Huseynov presented the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijan–European Union relations, as well as Azerbaijan’s growing significance as a key transit and logistics hub in the Eurasian region.
