Tbilisi hosted the forum of the "Azerbaijan-Georgia Alliance"

On October 22, 2024, the forum of the "Azerbaijan-Georgia Alliance" was held in Tbilisi. 

In her opening remarks, AIR Center's leading advisor, Nasiba Mirzayeva, underscored the high level of political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Georgia parties, thereby referring to their solid basis built on mutual respect and common interests.

"Both Azerbaijan and Georgia share a vision of peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus," she noted.

Director of the Center for Studies of the South Caucasus, Farhad Mammadov, stressed that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia is of great geopolitical importance not only for the region but also for the entire world.

He also emphasized the necessity of preparedness in front of the challenges in the context of active involvement of the external forces in the affairs of the South Caucasus.

Senior advisor Shahmar Hajiyev stressed the importance of stable economic relations in terms of regional peace and progress, calling the bilateral economic documents as guarantors of security in the region. 

Later, analyst David Kartvelishvili, a member of the "People's Power," professor at Caucasus University, independent expert Fuad Chiragov, expert and doctor of political sciences Soso Manjavidze, and political scientist Tamar Kiknadze spoke and shared their views on the topic.

The event was attended by representatives of Azerbaijani and Georgian academic circles, think tanks, and NGOs.
