A presentation of the book published at the joint initiative of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Center for Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) titled «Azerbaijan’s path to victory in resolving the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict” was held. The AIR Center Chairman Farid Shafiyev said that the book contains scientific research on the history of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, the end of the 30-year-old conflict, the liberation of our lands and the solution of problems of refugees and internally displaced persons. He added that the book consists of 10 chapters and that most of them were written by the AIR Center experts. However, external experts were also involved to author two chapters. Farid Shafiyev said that the book reflects the history of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, as well as current events in the region. He noted that the book also covers the issue of IDPs, noting that Azerbaijan's current strategic goal is to return former IDPs to their homes: “Today, the conflict is over. But we must not forget that this problem has existed for 30 years. Thirty years ago, these people were deprived of their homes. They will return and start a new life, but we must always investigate the material and moral damage inflicted by Armenia and always write about it. "

The Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rovshan Rzayev said the book was based on facts and does not contain any propaganda. According to him, one of the purposes of writing the book is to convey to readers the care provided to IDPs by the state for about 30 years: “The conflict is over, our territorial integrity has been restored. Each of us must read this book carefully and get acquainted with the path leading to the victory. The book is dedicated to the anniversary of the 44-day war. During this period, important instructions have been given by the President Ilham Aliyev to take steps towards ensuring great return of the IDPs to their native lands.  I believe that in the near future we will be able to relocate former IDPs to their villages. "

The event continued with discussions on the book.
