The Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) and the National Strategic Initiatives Institute under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic have reached an agreement to collaborate on the preparation of joint scientific publications.
On June 12, 2024, a delegation led by Farid Shafiyev, the Chairman of the Board of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), held a meeting at the National Strategic Initiatives Institute under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic during their visit to Bishkek. Sanzhar Mukanbetov, the director of the National Strategic Studies Institute, provided information about the institute's areas of activity, noting that it has recently undergone organizational restructuring. During the meeting, various aspects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan were discussed, and an exchange of ideas was conducted on the further development of these relations.
At the same time, the meeting addressed the potential impacts of the current geopolitical situation on both countries. Issues such as the role of regional transportation projects, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars and China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway projects, in enhancing transportation links and, consequently, trade and economic relations between the two countries were discussed.
Additionally, an agreement was reached between the two organizations to continue academic discussions in the future, prepare joint scientific publications, and organize events.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kyrgyz Republic, Latif Gandilov, also attended the meeting.
