The AIR Center delegation participates in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2026)

The delegation of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) is participating in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026.

AIR Center’s Chairman of the Board Farid Shafiyev stated that the forum is being held against the backdrop of complex regional dynamics, developments surrounding Iran, and the global energy crisis. He noted that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, is also attending the forum, and that the country is represented by a broad delegation. Within the framework of the forum, discussions will address the current situation in the South Caucasus, cooperation within the Turkic world, and priority issues on Azerbaijan’s foreign policy agenda.

Farid Shafiyev emphasized that the AIR Center is actively engaged in the forum and has scheduled bilateral meetings with partner institutions on the sidelines of the event. He further expressed confidence that the Antalya Diplomacy Forum will make a meaningful contribution to advancing discussions on regional and global security, as well as to strengthening cooperative efforts in this area.

AIR Center’s Board Member Javid Valiyev emphasized the heightened relevance of the forum in the current context, characterized by significant global and regional developments that directly impact Azerbaijan and Türkiye. He noted that the panel discussions will place particular emphasis on issues of cooperation, stability, and normalization in the South Caucasus..

It should be noted that on the first day of the forum, the AIR Center delegation held a meeting with the Strategic Research Center under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, during which views were exchanged on the regional situation and bilateral relations. The parties also discussed prospective areas for joint projects between the two think tanks.

Notably, this year’s forum brings together more than 500 high-level participants, including heads of state and government from 22 countries, deputy heads of state and government from 14 countries, over 50 ministers (39 of whom are foreign ministers), and representatives of 75 international organizations from more than 150 countries.
