The Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) organized a roundtable discussion based on the theses articulated by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, during the event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
The roundtable focused on the scientific study of foreign policy and international relations, as well as the challenges and solutions related to collaboration between local and international scholars. The discussions were attended by members of the National Assembly, representatives of think tanks, and university faculty.
During the session, participants examined existing institutional gaps in scientific research, factors hindering collaboration with foreign research institutes and scholars, challenges in implementing innovative approaches, as well as practical and technical issues in this field.
The discussions emphasized the importance of bringing historical maps and documents related to Azerbaijan into international academic discourse, promoting specialization among experts, establishing think tanks within universities, increasing the accessibility of existing scientific literature for international audiences, implementing coordinated joint projects between domestic and foreign research centers, and leveraging the potential of artificial intelligence.
To recap, at the event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of ANAS, President Ilham Aliyev underscored the critical role of Azerbaijani scholars’ intellectual capacity and research endeavors in safeguarding the nation’s development and security, as well as the indispensable contribution of science and innovation to the formulation of strategic policy decisions.
