On December 6, the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) together with the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan jointly organized a training for journalists on "Azerbaijan's Foreign Policy Agenda". The purpose of the training in which 25 media representatives participated, was to navigate specialized journalists on Azerbaijan's latest foreign policy agenda and the perspectives of cooperation.

The AIR Center Chairman, Farid Shafiyev made an introductory speech emphasizing the importance of organizing regular trainings for journalists on the agenda of Azerbaijan's foreign policy. According to him, after the Second Karabakh War, new realities have formed in the region, and journalists have a great role in conveying Azerbaijan's voice and foreign policy course to the international community.

Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, Ahmet Ismayilov mentioned that the trainings hold a particular importance in terms of increasing the practical skills of media representatives who inform the society about social and political events happening both globally and in the country. He emphasized that the 3-day training on "Post-war Realities and Media" organized jointly with the Center of Analysis of International Relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the Media Development Agency was a serious practical step in terms of increasing the professionalism of Azerbaijani journalists in that direction: "Azerbaijan’s victory in the Second Karabakh War created a fundamental change in the work of the media community as well as in all the other fields. Azerbaijani journalists’ main purpose is to cover the life story of every citizen who made sacrifices in the achievement of victory, the restoration and construction works carried out in the territories freed from occupation, and the "Great Return" to a wide audience. Now, Azerbaijani media must exhibit a new conceptual approach to adapt its work to the pace of the winning country and modern challenges."

The AIR Center experts conducted the trainings. The AIR Center Board Member Esmira Jafarova, made a speech on "The process of normalization between Armenia and Azerbaijan", Javid Valiyev, head of department at the AIR Center on "Azerbaijan-Turkey relations" and Naghi Ahmadov, a leading advisor at the AIR Center on "Recent dynamics in Central Asia, the Middle Corridor". At the end, certificates were presented to the participants of training.
